Back at the psychic group ranch, there is an ongoing discussion about the rampant popular dis-belief in psychics (clairvoyants, remote viewers, PK materialists, and so on). People in the group who practice their psychic skills every day already know (and they should) that even consistently high scores on ESP tests are not likely to convince non-believers of psychic abilities. I figure out of 10 people I might meet, 2 of them might believe in ESP, at least to some extent – and the others, well, not now, and well, not ever.
The reason I call my blog, “Purely Coincidence,” is because when a non-believer has an experience we might call “psychic”, s/he usually labels it as coincidence. It’s like you’re thinking about some one you haven’t seen in a while and then the phone rings and it’s him. Coincidence, right? Well, you can label it anything you like, but if that sort of thing happens to you a few times in a row, you have moved (or are moving) closer to the psychic zone. And it’s just not purely coincidence anymore.
Really, sixth sensing is nothing to fear. As I see it, intuitions, indications and hunches can help you a lot when it comes to evaluating relationships, business propositions, and even treasure-hunting expeditions. ESP is the greatest early warning system there is. It’s helpful in healing (physical and emotional) and some people use it like an extra Ace when they gamble to win. It’s been beneficial to me a few times on stock picks ( back in the day), on Astrology readings I gave, and also as a consultant on a cold case. Psi is a skill/ability that comes in handy in any number of ways. And this “inner knowing” amplifies if you believe it.
What it comes down to is this: it really doesn’t matter how many skeptics or who they are. Skeptics refuse to believe anything they can’t see or don’t want to acknowledge, even when research shows favorable results for psi. The skeptics’ dis-belief is to their detriment, really. They can’t pick winning stocks, on an intuition, or find valuable needles in unlikely haystacks or avoid becoming romantic with a douche bag.
So, I say to my psychic companions, forget about trying to convince anybody about what you can do. Instead, be grateful you can text message without a phone.
